Such a lovely practice

I have lived all around the UK and as a result I've experienced a lot of different surgeries. Out of them all West Walk has been the best. Absolutely everyone that I've dealt with has been lovely. The care that they provide really is superb and the practice manager should be very proud of the team that they have there. I don't visit doctors very often but when I recently visited I was querying all sorts of random things and the doctor made time for me and answered all of my queries. Getting an appointment and follow ups has never been a chore. It's a very well run practice and a real credit to the NHS. My wife is registered at another surgery nearby and it's the polar opposite of this one. In this day and age people are often very quick to complain when things don't go their way but positive feedback is somewhat hard to come by. Positive experiences are taken for granted. I feel that it's important to show gratitude and I am grateful for all of the hard work and excellent service that the staff at West Walk surgery continually provide. Thank you.

Excellent Experience

My husband went to West Walk Surgery on Sunday after a fall and we would like to thank all the staff for such a brilliant service. We only waited a few minutes and he was assessed by a very kind and caring nurse, he was sent off for an X-ray and then saw the nurse again who dressed his finger. This is our first visit to this centre (and hopefully our last!) but we couldn’t have wished for a better experience.

Very efficient!

I moved to this surgery from one more local to me and I can honestly say it’s worth the extra drive! As with all practices, sometimes it takes longer to get a routine appointment than some may like, but this is beyond the control of the surgery. However, if I have ever needed an urgent appointment or simply medical advice, I have always received a call back from a doctor in under five minutes! Every doctor I have spoken to (with the exception of one, who I assume is a little longer in the tooth than his fantastic colleagues) has been compassionate, informative and have provided me with an appropriate course of action. Prime example: I rang the surgery less than 24 hours ago, yet I am currently attending a hospital appointment arranged by the truly fantastic and all-round lovely nurse at Westwalk. Super efficient! Their app is also really useful for checking test results, booking appointments and requesting repeat prescriptions. I’ve also found it very helpful that they send reminders for baby immunisations, cervical screening and the like- things that would easily slip my mind. Thank you, Westwalk!

A good practice

My wife and I have been members of this practice and its predecessors since we moved to Yate in 1963 and have always by and large received good service. Sometimes the wait to see a specific doctor can be in excess of two weeks, but in urgent cases you will be contacted immediately. We have, with one or two exceptions, found all the doctors, nurses and staff very pleasant and approachable.
